My guiding principle as a therapist is to create an environment that honors each client as the master of their own experience. Through active listening, curiosity, exploration, and collaboration, I assist clients in finding peace, achieving their goals and living a life most in line with their identified values.
I have experience in working with adolescents and adults struggling with eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, self-harm, and transitional life changes. I strongly believe that each individual client is unique in their experience and therefore my treatment approach is tailored to meet each client’s goals and needs. Modalities I use are CBT, Trauma Focused CBT, DBT, person centered and psychodynamic.
I am particularly passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families. My aim is to create a safe holding space in which adolescents can freely explore their identity and foster a healthy sense of agency and individuality. I also strive to support parents and work collaboratively to facilitate healing among the entire family system.
It is my honor to walk with you, and learn from you, on your healing journey –wherever it may take you.
A little about me! I obtained my B.A. In Psychology from the University of Michigan, and after moving across the world to live in Australia for a year, I returned home to New York to obtain my master’s in Social Work from NYU. When not working with my clients you can find me watching reruns of Friends for the thousandth time, standing on my head while practicing yoga and listening to way too many true crime podcasts.
