Well Williamsburg Psychotherapy Therapist Rachele O’Hare, LCSW

Rachele O’Hare, LCSW

Pronouns: She/Her

I work with clients to create a safe, non-judgmental, warm and compassionate space to feel feelings.  Often, experiencing emotions can be scary, my hope is to be able to sit with and bear witness to client’s experiences and emotions while offering support and reflection.  I work from the assumption that clients are the experts on their own experience, and we will walk together towards a recovery that feels right for each individual person.

I have experience working with folks facing a variety of struggles including anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, substance use, and self-harm.  I help clients figure out what’s getting in the way of their healing journey, and work with them to overcome obstacles, set appropriate boundaries, and practice self-compassion.

I work through a person-centered lens and my goal is to provide unconditional positive regard for clients. I offer a few different modalities and go with what works best with the client’s needs.  The modalities I use are: EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT, DBT, and ACT.

A little about me: I’m from Chicago and I have a dog named Nibbler.  When I’m not working with clients, I’m usually working on some craft project, drawing/painting, watching badly written procedural crime dramas (or Parks and Rec), and petting my dog.  I really love learning new things and I’m often trying (with varying levels of success) to read several books at once.
