Are you wanting to make some changes but struggling to release old behavior patterns or relationships? Do you find yourself returning to familiar but detrimental ways of dealing with love, sex, or friendship? Do you struggle with self-doubt, comparing yourself to others and yearning for more meaning in life? Through thoughtful exploration and awareness building, we will help you to explore new ways of understanding your beliefs, fears, and relational patterns. My clients find that through therapy they are able to better understand themselves and also better able to be understood by others.

My personal experience as a Latin American queer person with my own story of addiction and recovery informs my work. I personally understand experiences of exploring cultural and sexual identities, and struggling to put down behaviors that no longer work.

I have many years of experience as the Intake and Prevention coordinator in the substance use outpatient program at the LGBT Center in the West Village of Manhattan (www.gaycenter.org). Expect to cultivate new discoveries about yourself and leave sessions with beliefs and skills to help you address current and long-standing challenges.

Specializes in treating:
