Well Williamsburg Psychotherapy Therapist Hannah Evans, MHC-LP

Hannah Evans, LMHC

Pronouns: She/Her

Clients working with me can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental, and encouraging environment to actively communicate life stressors and dive deeper into the impact of trauma related emotions. I believe in empowering clients to take ownership of their emotions, to speak about challenging life experiences, and identify healthy coping behaviors to lead a positive life.

My comprehensive experience includes working with BIPOC individuals, survivors of abuse (whether that be emotional, physical, sexual, among others), LGBT+ community, and individuals struggling with mood disorders and/or substance use. The therapeutic modalities used in my work utilize trauma-focused interventions including psychodynamic, cognitive, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I look forward to learning and growing with each of my clients!

Here is a little about me!

I’m originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and moved to New York City in 2018 to obtain my master’s degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Graduating from John Jay College has greatly shaped my perspectives around the social, racial, and mental health injustices in our communities, all areas I deeply care about. The favorite part of my day is journaling/reading a book in my backyard while listening to the birds chirp with a hot cup of tea!
